The Open Execution Network introduced by Altius allows a diverse set of participants—from layer 1 and layer 2 blockchains to app-specific environments and a range of virtual machines—to harness parallel execution capabilities and cross-chain interoperability.
Altius decouples the execution of transactions from other functions of a blockchain, partitioning state data into independently managed shards across distributed nodes to enable parallel operations with unprecedented performance.
